Ciao a tutti,
sono nuovo del forum, così come sono un neofita di Android (ho appena avuto il mio primo smartphone), quindi perdonatemi se sparo castronerie o chiedo cose magari scontate.

Il mio obiettivo è usare la connessione internet del mio PC (usando la rete dell' ufficio) equipaggiato con windows XP (ho anche una scheda wireless) per navigare col mio HTC Wildfire (o via USB o col wireless)

Si può fare? Se si, qualcuno mi spiega come?

Sì si può fare, ma non è immediato (devi avere un device con permessi di root e con la busybox per poter usare alcuni comandi di Linux utili per il networking).
I passi da fare sono riportati in un vecchio thread qui: ***URLs are hidden from guests, please register and login to view the hyperlink***

1.Enable "Settings\Wireless controls\Internet tethering"
2.Install HTC Remote NDIS based Device driver Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device Driver (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachm ... 1265356413)
3.Set the HTC adapter as: IP:192.168.2.1, Mask:255.255.255.0
4.Set the PC ethercard as shared connection
5.Run these codes in terminal:
Code:
su
ifconfig usb0 192.168.2.2 netmask 255.255.255.0
busybox route delete default
iptables -F
iptables -F -t nat
busybox route add default gw 192.168.2.1
setprop net.dns1 8.8.8.8
setprop "net.gprs.http-proxy" ""

Ulp! Un pò traumatico per un neofita.
Su linux non ho problemi, ma...

1) HTC Remote NDIS based Device driver Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device Driver va installato sul PC, giusto?
2) come faccio ad aprire una shell sullo smartphone per eseguire i comandi?
3) come faccio ad accedere come root sullo smartphone?

1. giusto
2. installi l'SDK di Android, nella directory tool c'è un programma che si chiama adb. Per aprire una shell basta usare il comando "adb shell"
3. E' molto semplcie, oramai ci sono dei programmi che fanno tutto in automatico: cerca OneClickRoot oppure Unrevoke
